A considerable amount of Rhett’s legal experience is in the field of insurance defense and personal injury. After graduating from California Western School of Law in San Diego, Rhett began his legal career at Seale, Daigle & Ross. There he represented a variety of business clients and local parish governmental bodies. Rhett also served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney with the Orleans Parish District Attorneys Office under Harry Connick, Sr. As a Senior Assistant District Attorney, Rhett tried over fifty (50) jury trials, including murder, rape, kidnapping, arson, and drug related crimes. After serving three years with Mr. Connick, Rhett joined the Metairie firm of Reich, Meeks & Treadaway. Rhett’s main area of responsibility was the representation of insurance companies and self-insured companies. A majority of the cases he handled involved fatalities and serious bodily injuries, including ruptured discs, amputations, and brain injury. After leaving Reich, Meeks & Treadaway, Rhett accepted the invitation of his long time friend, Mark Higdon, to join his firm, Creighton, Richards & Higdon, L.L.C. Joining the ranks of this growing firm has given Rhett the opportunity to practice a wide variety of law, including insurance law, commercial and business law, healthcare law, family law, and criminal defense. Rhett has also served on the adjunct faculty committee at Tulane Law School, giving third year law students the benefit of his experience as a trial lawyer. Rhett also served as a staff attorney at Deep South Insurance Services.
